For many students at Sabino Highschool, sophomore year has proven to be a big step up from freshman year. With harder classes, more resposibilities, and growing expectations, students are starting to feel the pressure but also the progress. Compared to freshman year, many sophomores say the workload has increased. Classes are more challenging, and teachers expect students to be more independent. It’s definitely harder then last year. You have to stay more on top of your work or it piles up really fast. Along with academics, students are also getting more involved in school activites. From sports to clubs, many sophomores are trying new things and building friendships. However balancing schoolwork and extracurriculars can be difficult. Some students say they struggle with managing their time. Despite this, many feel that sophomore year is helping them grow and prepare for the future. Although it can be stressfull at times, sophomore year is an important time for students to develop skills, build confidence, and figure out who they are. For many, it’s a year full of both challenges and grwoth.
